On the morning of December 18, 2023, Micro Commercial Components Vietnam Co., Ltd. (MCC Vietnam) held the groundbreaking ceremony for the semiconductor equipment production and assembly plant in Yen Phong 2C Industrial Park (Bac Ninh). The presence of the MCC semiconductor plant in Viglacera’s industrial park has contributed to the development of the semiconductor ecosystem in Vietnam, enhancing the nation’s position in this supply chain.
The semiconductor equipment production and assembly project is invested by Micro Commercial Components Vietnam Co., Ltd., a part of Yangjie Technology (China) – a manufacturer of high-quality semiconductor products headquartered in Simi Valley, California (USA). This project in Yen Phong 2C Industrial Park is MCC’s first factory in Vietnam and the seventh globally.
Covering an area of 8 hectares with a total investment of 100 million USD, MCC Vietnam will manufacture and assemble semiconductor equipment (including optoelectronic products, surface-mount devices, signals), supplying them to partners such as Huawei, BYD, Philips, and Sony.
Recently, in October 2023, also in Yen Phong 2C Industrial Park, Amkor Corporation inaugurated the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturing, assembly, and testing plant with a total investment of 1.6 billion USD.
