Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just signed Decision No. 1438/QD-TTg dated November 20, 2024, approving the investment policy for the project on the construction and operation of the infrastructure of Tran Yen Industrial Park (Phase I), Yen Bai Province, and appointing Viglacera as the investor of this industrial park.
This industrial park is located in Bao Hung and Minh Quan communes, Tran Yen district, Yen Bai province, with a total area of 254.59 hectares. The project has a total investment capital of approximately VND 2,184 billion, of which the investor’s contributed capital is VND 327.65 billion. The location of this industrial park is not far from IC12 interchange of the Noi Bai – Lao Cai Expressway.
Not only is it less than 10 km from the administrative center of Yen Bai province, Tran Yen Industrial Park also enjoys advantages in road, railway, and waterway transport systems, which are very convenient for travel and the exchange of goods among localities.
The industrial park is located less than 1 km from IC12 interchange of the Noi Bai – Lao Cai Expressway. Transport connectivity from Tran Yen Industrial Park to Noi Bai International Airport is extremely convenient via the Hanoi – Lao Cai Expressway, with a travel time of 1 hour and 40 minutes; to Lao Cai International Border Gate is 2 hours and 20 minutes. In the future, when the Lao Cai – Hai Phong high-speed railway is invested and constructed, the transportation of goods from Tran Yen to Hai Phong Port will also become much easier.

Master plan of Tran Yen Industrial Park by Viglacera in Yen Bai Province
It is known that currently, Yen Bai has three industrial parks that have been included in the national industrial park system, namely the Southern Industrial Park (400 ha), Minh Quan Industrial Park (112 ha), and Au Lau Industrial Park (120 ha).
As for Viglacera, the corporation currently owns more than 4,000 hectares of industrial park land. In 2024, Viglacera had two more industrial parks approved for investment policy, including Song Cong 2 Industrial Park – Phase 2 (Thai Nguyen) and Doc Da Trang Industrial Park (Khanh Hoa). These two industrial parks have contributed to increasing Viglacera’s total industrial park area by 584.24 hectares compared to the previous period.
One of Viglacera’s latest development orientations is to invest in upgrading the quality of industrial park infrastructure towards green and smart industrial parks, in line with the Government’s action programs on green growth in socio-economic development.
