On April 19, 2025, just one month following the project’s groundbreaking ceremony, Viglacera started the construction of Package No. 2 in Zone No. 1 (175.52 hectares) at Song Cong 2 Industrial Park – Phase 2. This significant event took place in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of Vietnam (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025) and is one of the 80 major projects and constructions that were simultaneously launched and inaugurated nationwide under the leadership of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
The package includes several key projects: an administrative office; fire prevention and control systems; a water supply network connected to the Song Cong and Tich Luong water treatment plants (with a capacity of 7,200 m³/day), along with the industrial park’s water supply station; and a centralized wastewater treatment system.
With a total investment of 4 trillion VND, Song Cong 2 Industrial Park – Phase 2 is designated as a priority project in Thai Nguyen Province. Once operational, the industrial park is expected to create numerous investment opportunities, contribute to job creation, increase local budget revenues, and promote the economic transition towards industrialization and modernization.
